Bureerat Boutique Hotel

Bureerat Boutique Hotel on Talad Gao Road in the old city center district of Lampang is an adaptive reuse of the Fong Lee row house, a more than a century-old building of wood and masonry structure with elaborate wood elements. As it has high historical and architectural value, the design intends to preserve its theme and most architectural elements.

The hotel lobby is on the ground floor of the east block of the row house, which is further from the intersection. The guestrooms are from the ground floor to the third floor. A row of dense shrubs is planted in front of the building to provide privacy to the ground-floor guestrooms. Additional bay windows are designed for the building's attic to make it guestrooms. A dining area is added to the roof deck of the building so that the users can see views of the surrounding areas, especially the mountains further around the city.

The existing wood elements are renovated and preserved. The extended facades are made of wood and glass in simpler forms than the preserved existing elaborated elements but still harmonize with their materials and colors.

The building's exterior materials are terrazzo, wood, and clear float glass with wood frames; the common areas' interior materials are terrazzo, painted plaster, woods of many shades, and local-made earth-tone unglazed terra-cotta tiles; the guestroom unit interior materials are painted plaster, woods of many shades, and local-made earth-tone unglazed terra-cotta tiles.

This renovation will benefit in promoting the regeneration of this old district of Lampang.
